About Us

The Chakkaram Foundation Initiative is a movement for Service. The basic inspiration is derived from various personalities across the World who have sacrificed their life for the society. This is a small initiative to provide opportunity and platform for all to give back to the society in best possible and convenience of the individual.

With this fundamental principle of Service in view, Chakkaram strives to see that every person who is served, raises with self esteem shedding his inferiority complex. All Service rendered through Chakkaram is ultimately aimed at not only eradicating the physical and other deprivations, but also at instilling in every person a sense of Self respect, Self confidence and Self reliance.

This paves the way to establish a Modern, Progressive, Egalitarian Society where every person would feel happy and equal in all respects as a member of one national family, contributing his or her own share for the all-round development of our Motherland.

Chakkaram has been rendering extensive service amongst the lesser privileged, thus ensuring that the burden of poverty does not divert them from the fabric of our tradition.

To ensure self-sustenance of our deprived brethren, various projects are being taken up by Chakkaram Foundation integrating the weaker economic sections of our people with the mainstream society. Our expanding network of seva projects which are to be nurtured and funded, needs support from able and likeminded individuals and organizations for this noble initiative.

The projects that are to be taken up are Tuition centers, health care for the sanitary workers, Spectacles, feeding and wellbeing, skill development and the overall upliftment of all the sections of people from our society/neighborhood.

Chakkaram Foundation was incorporated on 19 September 2016 as a Non-Govt. Organization and is registered with Registrar of Companies, Chennai.

We are a group of 20+ social minded Volunteers who strongly believe in developing a Strong Neighborhood and support the needy in our area.

At the moment we extend our service and support within Valasaravakkam area in Chennai.

As Social responsibility is an ethical framework for any organization or individual to act for the benefit of society at large.

Every individual of our group strongly believe that service to society is a duty and every individual has to perform so as to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems.

Public Health Services

Providing health services to poor and needy people by conducting health camps, providing treatments, counselling, supply of medicines and supplements free of cost by utilizing various methods of medication(Western Pharmaceuticals, Ayurveda, Siddha and Traditional Indian Medicinal system), organizing and conducting awareness camps as to organ donation, blood donation.

Organizing and Conducting Yoga Training Programme.

Establishing and maintaining de-addiction, rejnivation, rehabilitation centres.

Establishing, maintaining hospitals, clinics ,health centres, diagonsitic centres, medicinal research laboratories and research institutions establishing, maintaining Ambulance Services, Blood Banks.

Public Education Services

Public Education services by establishing, maintaining coaching and training centre for needy students pursuing any education in schools colleges and universities.

Organizing and conducting Personality and Skill Development Programmes establishing and maintaining, not for profit educational and research institutions.

Social services community development of any type benefitting general public whether or not during times of emergencies.

Organised several health awareness campaigns as part of World Health Day.

Celebrated World Health Day 2019 by inviting 1000 attendees supported by 23 participants and 10 team members. Organised lectures on health, hygine and mental health.
